OUR GOLDEN YEAR 2016

Looking back at the results in Mountain Bike racing, we can proudly say 2016 is the most successful year in the long history of DT Swiss Sponsorship. Our athletes achieved their results in many disciplines and we need to be concentrated on the outstanding ones, to make the list not too long. Shortly said, it is the “Golden Year” of racing on DT Swiss products.

Cross Country

If it comes to Cross Country Olympic we had, with Jenny Rissveds and Nino Schurter, two outstanding Champions dominating their races. After various Worldcup wins they started the “Golden Year” with their double strike at the World Championships in Nove Mesto. A couple of weeks later they made their year perfect, crossing the finish line again first in Rio de Janeiro and got another Gold Medal. Beside the many years of meticulous preparation which means a long time of hardship. To let them know, they use material they can rely on, has been the part of DT Swiss to make their lives a little bit easier.

Downhill, Enduro & Freeride

Beside Cross Country racing DT Swiss athletes dominated as well the best known other Mountain Bike disciplines. With the strike back of Danny Hart, winning another World Champion title, we could celebrate cross-disciplinary titles. Since a couple of years Enduro racing is getting more and more popular. With the consecutive win of the overall Enduro World Series title, Ritchie Rude can look back at another successful year on DT Swiss products. Even the upcoming new generation of Enduro riders put their trust in DT Swiss. Raphaela Richter took the victory in the under 21 category. The Freeride and Slopestyle approval, our products got from Nicholi Rogatkin. Beside many podiums in 2016, he took back home the Diamond league overall title at the FMB World Tour.
