When the leaves are falling, days get shorter and most road riders finish their season, it’s that time again: Time for the cyclocross season to begin! The fascinating one hour off-road races filled with action are getting more and more popular all around the globe. The heart of the racing scene is located in Belgium, with the world’s best athletes competing in spectacular races every single week. Reason enough to introduce our two Belgian CX teams today.
Over the past two years DT Swiss has been a proud sponsor of the ERA-CIRCUS team. Racing on Stevens bikes equipped with DT Swiss wheels, the team has been a close partner in the development of our new cyclocross specific wheels. World-class riders like Laurens Sweeck and reigning U23 world champion Annemarie Worst are not only testing our wheels in training and competition but above all celebrated some great victories on DT Swiss wheels. Both riders are still very young, the best is yet to come. The future of cyclocross shines bright for DT Swiss.
Same is true for our second team – newly engaged: Marlux Napoleongames. Also one of the top cyclocross teams, youth development is one of the teams guiding principles. U23 world champion, Eli Iserbyt has joined Marlux Napoleongames and is now racing on DT Swiss wheels for the first time: “I am super happy having sponsors like DT Swiss and the first test rides with my new wheels were already very promising! I am definitely looking forward to the season and grab my first win as soon as possible”.
With the first races of the season in the books, Laurens Sweeck had the opportunity to grab a couple victories at CrossVegas in the United States as well as on his homeground at the C1 race in Neerpelt. Stakes are high, and the hopes for a top spot on podium will follow in the Superprestige and World Cup series races which are about to begin. Whether it’s Laurens, Annemaire, Eli or somebody else, we are super excited to see these racers on the DT Swiss wheels!
